Saturday had the U16’s at home to undefeated Shropshire in the West Midlands National league and they gave a much better account of themselves right from the off.

The first period had the home side leading by 11 points 17 to 6 and, effectively gave the team a real chance of a much needed victory. However. it didn’t last long as they had a terrible second period, losing this by 21 points to which Coach Ura lays the blame at his feet as he ought to have managed the player rotation in a much sounder way.

The third and fourth periods were evenly contested and during the fourth the boys took the lead having gallantly fought back, only to see it evaporate through some poor offensive decisions from key players who where clearly both mentally and physically tired, which is understandable due to certain players having to do three to four times more work than they ought.
