The under eighteens are typically the most successful of all of the Outlaws teams and tends to be where the hard work that the coaches, players and parents have put in over the years starts to pay off!
The training for the under 18 team is the most rigorous of all the junior outfits and attempts to drive players to achieve great things. It’s no co-incidence that the Outlaws under 18 players are consistently picked for training and competing at a regional, national and international level. – There hasn’t been one year this decade that the Outlaws haven’t had at-least one squad member picked for the East Midlands regional programme.
Under 18 players play in the National League only, however some players end up playing up for the senior men. Giving them a taste of what basketball will be like when they move up – A lot more physically draining!
At the end of their Under 18 journey, players either move on to the Senior men, or move on to play basketball for their universities when they move away.
As always, The Outlaws have an open door policy. So if you want to get involved then turn up to training or give us a heads us by contacting us!
